Over the last few weeks we have had birthday parties, Paleo treats just because, and out of state traveling. I am proud to say that I have not fallen off the wagon, but sat on the edge, dangling my feet. Yikes! So, with that being said, I’m doing the September Whole30! It officially (via Melissa Urban) starts September 14. There will be about a month and a half before anyone else’s birthday (within my family) and I’m super excited to get started!
Let’s back up to before I went Paleo. I ate what I wanted when I wanted. I ate all the gluten. I ate dairy products constantly. My biggest weakness was sugar. I ate tons of ice cream. I would eat full size candy bars. And you know…eating that stuff could be ok if you have self-control. I did not. I constantly craved more sugar. I couldn’t get enough of it.
Even though the treats that I’ve been eating lately have been Paleo, they are still treats. They can still trigger the sleeping “sugar dragon” that was wild and uncontrollable before. I am starting my Whole30 today with the intention of controlling my cravings, lower my antibodies, and to better balance my hormones. I also plan to stay active with walking and YouTube workout videos from my favorite ladies, Robin from The Balanced Life and Sarah Beth Yoga!
